We are so proud to be certified as a women-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The WBENC is a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs and the largest third-party certifier of the business world owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.
Sportsdigita started when our founder and CEO, Angelina Lawton, was with the Tampa Bay Lightning as the Senior VP of Corporate Communications in 2008. During this time, she noticed a void in the sports industry: when presenting prospective six and seven figure deals, teams were stuck within the limitations of PowerPoint. This realization led her to create the first ever in-house creative agency for a professional sports team. After seeing the success her team at the Lightning had with that decision, she knew she could bring the agency concept to the entire sports world.
In 2011, Angelina Lawton founded Sportsdigita as a woman-owned digital sports agency. Today we work with 350+ organizations worldwide including the biggest, most iconic brands in sports and Fortune 500 to deliver our cloud-based presentation platform, DIGIDECK, to their sales teams.
We are so proud to be a woman founded, owned, and managed business in the heavily male-dominated industries of sports and technology. Being WBENC certified is a testament to our CEO’s commitment to paving the way for women in business and using her story as inspiration to other female entrepreneurs.
